III. Research Question: What effects do drugs have on young African Americans in high school?
IV. Thesis Statement: What provokes young teens to get involved in drugs?
V. Abstract
A. Audience – African Americans who know someone or personally gets involved with drugs.
B. Tone – straight – forward, opinionated
C. Benefits – Provides information on drug use
D. Purpose – to give facts and opinions on drug use
E. Definition of terms – young African Americans teens- Teenagers age from 15 – 18.
Drugs – the specific drugs I will be targeting are marijuana and cough syrup used to make some people drossy.

VI. Intro
A. I believe that young African Americans are ostracized over there use of drugs.
B. 1st I will interview some people who have knowledge of drug use from personal experiences.
2nd I will try to prove that African Americans are not always the ones who use drugs.
